MIDDLEBURY – Police in Middlebury report the arrest of a man who threatened to shoot employees at the local McDonald’s restaurant on Saturday.
Police said at about 2:51 p.m., a customer at the McDonald’s in Middlebury called 911 after he overheard another man in the restaurant become upset with employees and threatened to go get a shotgun and return.
The suspect left McDonald’s in a vehicle and was located traveling on Court Street. A motor vehicle stop was conducted by officers and Addison County Sheriff’s Department.
Police said an investigation determined that the driver, Ronald E. Blakeslee III, 21, said he was upset with errors involving his lunch order and told a manager he was going to go get his shotgun and shoot employees of the restaurant.
Blakeslee was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and released on a citation to appear in court on Oct. 20. Police said he did not have a weapon in his possesion at the time of his arrest.
