Murder Suspect Arrested in Irving McDonald’s Shooting

Irving police have arrested a murder suspect in a shooting last month outside a McDonald’s on Airport Freeway.

Brandon Temple, 34, was booked Thursday, a month to the day after the death of Christopher Guajardo, police said.

Gaujardo, 26, was found about 1 a.m. Aug. 4 lying in the parking lot not far from the drive-through window of the McDonald’s at Carl Road and State Highway 183.

At the time, police said they were looking for a man and a woman seen arguing with the victim shortly before the shooting. They fled in a red Kia Sportage, and police released surveillance images of the vehicle. No word on whether authorities have spoken to the unidentified woman.

Temple is being held in the Irving Jail on $1 million bail.
