NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) –
Two drunken men from New York City trashed a McDonald’s in New Jersey after workers refused to give them free food, police said.
Fort Lee police arrested Malick Mitchell, 35, of Brooklyn, and Malcolm Mitchell, 37, of Manhattan, on Monday after struggling with cops who responded to the commotion at the fast-food joint on Lemoine Avenue, according to reports. The Record reported that the men are cousins.
Police said the Mitchells were enraged they couldn’t get free food, so they threw chairs at workers, smashed cash registers, and damaged windows.
Malcolm Mitchell was treated at a hospital for minor injuries after he scuffled with cops, officials said. A detective suffered a leg injury, authorities said.
Authorities charged them with robbery, criminal mischief and making terroristic threats.
