Woman Finds Refuge from Attacker in UK McDonald’s

A woman has suffered extensive injuries after an incident which ended at McDonalds in Union Street, Torquay.

Police and ambulance crews were called by members of the public after a woman with blood on her face was seen in Market Street and Union Street at 11am.

An ambulance spokesman said: “ We were called to McDonalds in Union Street. A woman who had suffered a broken nose was taken to Torbay Hospital at 11.10am.”

Police said: “A woman suffered extensive injuries.

“We were called by a member of the public who reported a female with blood on her face, being followed by a male. They both went into McDonalds.”

A man was arrested in McDonalds.

He has been arrested and was due to appear before Torbay magistrates on Wednesday charged with assault by beating and with assaulting an officer in the execution of his duties.
