Two Arrested for Armed Robbery at Houston McDonald’s

Two suspects in an armed robbery in the Houston area of Fort Bend County have been arrested.

At 9 p.m. Friday, May 16, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a McDonald’s Restaurant in the 9300 block of Highway 6 in reference to an aggravated robbery that occurred in the business’ parking lot.

The victim had met with the subjects at that location for the purpose of purchasing a cell phone. Instead, the suspects displayed a handgun and threatened to kill the victim and then stole in excess of $700.

As the suspects fled the area, they collided with the victim’s car and fired multiple shots at the victim. No one was injured.

Subsequent investigation resulted in the identification of two suspects, Javonte McGill, 20, and Romelius Rhone, 19, both of the Richmond area. Associate District Judge Pedro Ruiz signed warrants for their arrest and both suspects were apprehended Sunday. They remain in the Fort Bend County Jail under $80,000 bonds.
