Rambling Man at McDonald’s Tased, Tasing Has Little Effect

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) — A Richmond County deputy tases a man when he refuses to leave after making threats.

Deputies say they showed up to the Dean’s Bridge McDonald’s to find Neito Carter, 39, yelling and cursing at an employee.

Reports show when Carter was asked to leave, he challenged deputies saying that he didn’t have to leave and asked what they were going to do about it.

After resisting arrest, the report says the deputy noticed Carter going for a pocket knife on his right hand side. That’s when the deputy threatened to tase him.

The deputy says he gave several more commands to which Carter refused, and that’s when he deployed his taser. The report says it didn’t have much of an effect because it did not make good contact. So, the deputy says he deployed the other set, which didn’t make good contact either. At that point, Carter put his hands behind his back and was arrested.

He now sits in the Richmond County Jail charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer and terroristic threats and acts.
