The Alcoa Police Department announced today that two suspects linked to an armed robbery are now in custody.
Jerrell Lee Bledsoe and Jelyn Marquis Haley, both 19, were arrested by Alcoa police detectives in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of McDonald’s Restaurant at 2929 Old Knoxville Highway.
Officers responded early Sunday to the report of an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot when the manager was walking to his vehicle with the deposit. One of the subjects pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded the deposit. During the incident, the subject’s handgun fired and struck the boot of the manager. The manager was not hurt in the incident.
Bledsoe and Haley are being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.
